Jeg er VILD med genbrug!

Det har jeg vist aldrig lagt skjul på. Skal nogen overraske mig med en udflugt på den fede måde, skal de tage mig med i en genbrugsbutik eller på et kræmmer- eller loppemarked, og så skal jeg bare have lov til at tulre rundt og gramse på det hele…

Der er tre ting jeg med sikkerhed altid leder efter: Bøger med smukke illustrationer, retrostoffer og fine nørklerier samt etnisk håndlavede unikating med et præg af en anden verden eller tidsalder.

Jeg er vild med patina – og jeg elsker, når jeg kan se, at ting har haft en historie.

Dagens moodboard er skønne fund i Kirkens Korshær i dag – snold for under 100 kr – og materialer og inspiration til alverdens kreative kreationer :)

Genbrugs kreaværksted i Kirkens Korshær Køge

I dag var en ganske særlig dag for mig! I december måned indledte jeg et frivilligt samarbejde med den lokale Kirkens Korshærs genbrugsbutik, og afholdt tre fine genbrugsjulestuer i genbrugsbutikken, i Køges lokale miljøhus og på Køge Bibliotek.

I dag skulle vi så til det første kreative idéudviklingsmøde i genbrugsbutikken, hvor alle kreative kræfter var indkaldt for at brainstorme på årets kreative aktiviteter i butikken. Kreative sjæle med hver deres kærlighed for eksempelvis brugskunst, tøj, smykkefremstilling, møbelredesign samt papir og bøger (jeg var – surprise – i den sidste kategori).

Og vi kunne hurtigt blive enige om, at jo mere der kan genbruges – og des mere man kan transformere ting og give dem nyt liv, jo mere gavner det miljøet og vores pengepung.

Og så har vi simpelthen fået lov til at indrette et genbrugs kreaværksted midt i butikken!!! Det bliver SÅ FEDT!!!

Og så skal der ellers være kreative workshops løbende i butikken, så Køgenserne kan få idéer til, hvordan de kan genbruge alskens ting fra gemmerne derhjemme.

Uh, hvor jeg glæder mig!! Det kribler i mine fingre for at komme i gang!

Recycled gold that speaks to my creative heart

I love recycling!

And that’s no secret. Should any surprise me with a trip in a cool way, they should bring me to a thrift store or at a flea market, and then allow me to just wander around and grab at everything…

There are three things I’m always looking for: books with beautiful illustrations, retro fabrics and fine handicrafts and ethnic handmade unique things with a touch of another world or time.

I really love patina – and I love when I can see that things have had a history.

Today’s moodboard is my wonderful discoveries in Dan Church Social’s local charity shop today – goodies for under 100 dkr – and materials and inspiration for all sorts of creative creations :)

Recycling creative studio in Dan Church Social’s charity shop in Køge

Today was a very special day for me! In December I initiated a voluntary partnership with the local Dan Church Social thrift store and arranged three fine Christmas recycling workshops in the shop, in the local environmental house and at the local library.

Today we had our first creative idea development meeting in the charity shop where all the creative volunteers was gathered to made a brainstorm on this year’s creative activities in the store. Creative souls, each with their preferences, for example: handicrafts, decorating, clothes, jewelery making, sewing, furniture redesign and paper and books (I was – surprise – in the last category).

And we all agreed in, that the more you can recycle – and the more you can transform things and give them new life, the more beneficial it will be to the environment and our wallets.

And then we decided to establish a recycling creative studio in the middle of the store! It’s going to be SO AWESOME!

And during the year we will arrange creative workshops regularly in the store so the local inhabitants can get ideas on how to recycle all sorts of things from the attic at home.

Oh, I look so much forward to this magnificent arrangement!! I almost can’t wait to get started…
