Thanks for a beautiful, colorful and insightful April

April was the month where I among other things:

What a glorious, sunfilled month!

And with 30 mood boards and 30 blog posts on top, I can pretty much understand that I sometimes need a few more hours a day to be creative.

Not that I’m not creative more on a daily basis, but often I feel that I haven’t got enough time for all that creativity, I want (although I very well may see that there has been lots of wonderful creative things going on in April).

But I can not escape the fact that I have put a lot of energy in starting up at my new job, and it has been using a part of my creative batteries…

Luckily, my mind is trained to always focus on all the things I have done, instead of them, I haven’t done yet, as seen with these glasses on, April has been wonderful, fantastic and amazing ♥

And I know that all those who are waiting for a creative package from me do not wait in vain. There’s gonna be something good in the mail when the time is right :)

Lots of love and happiness, Susanne

PS. I will find a winner of my give away tomorrow!

MOODBOARD #63:
Ta-dah: Flyvefærdige uglecollager ¦ Ready made owl collages

365 moodboards i 2014. Moodboard #63: Ta-dah: Flyvefærdige uglecollager. Smashup. Fotograf: Susanne Randers

Ready made owl collages

Welcome to the world

Meet Johanne and Svend, two sweet twins who came into the real world 21 February 2014.

The owl collages are a gift to the twins’ mother from my childhood friend Susanne.

And it’s not any Susanne, ’cause she is the “mother” of the first two owls I created for her children Rose and Lucca back in 2011.

Since then, I have made many more owl collages – some with and some without a name.

It is pure meditation for me to make the owl collages

I’m having a great time making the collages. It is pure meditation to select the right paper and glue small paper tongues on a large A3 sheet – and talk to the owls when they need to have eyes, ears, beak and wings, to find out which personality they will have…

These two owl collages are relatively similar, as they are ment to be twins – and I found this delicious old hand-painted retro wallpaper in turquoise and purple, which ties the owls together – it’s also the wallpaper, which I have chosen for the owls ears. Cut as flowers for the girl and stars for the boy.

Actually, an owl has not visible ears, but a horn owl has horns, and they are the ones that you most often depicts, when making an owl…

Just a little mood board picture to finalize the owl production, which I started a few weeks ago. Today the owl collages was united with their new mother.

Lots of love and happiness, Susanne

MOODBOARD #41:
Laver ny inspirationsvæg klar til 365 moodboards ¦ Preparing a new inspiration wall for 365 mood boards

365 moodboards i 2014. Moodboard #41: Laver ny inspirationsvæg klar til 365 moodboards. Smashup. Fotograf: Susanne Randers

Preparing a new inspiration wall for 365 mood boards

41 days have passed of 2014 – if you were wondering… I count the days in the year – and look ahead to day 365 , where my mission is accomplished, for this year at least.

365 mood boards in 2014… I have promised myself to make and/or photograph –  of inspiration for you and for me.

Inspiration wall for this year’s mood boards

Today I started up on something that has been simmering for a long time…

Last year, in my own transformation process, I got rid of a lot of creative blockages with help from Julia Cameron – and I especially learned to focus more on all that I had reached [ ta-dah ] instead of all that, I think I had to reach [ to-do ]…

And one day my boyfriend suggested that I – to start realizing that I was creative – should print photos of all my creations and hang them up – that is, to make a physical ta-dah wall.

I chose instead to write long ta-dah lists every Sunday, which I still practice – and of course write a lot of blog posts, in many of my creations are also shown – to the delight of myself and my dear readers.

A physical ta-dah wall has taken shape

But today was the day when I started making a physical ta-dah inspiration wall; a wall with enough space for this year’s 365 mood boards ♥

DIY – How I made my new inspiration wall

Materials:

Assembly:

My inspiration wall is approx. 1.5 meters high and 2.7 meters wide and is made by using neon pink string that is stretched between small hooks screwed into the wall.

To secure the strings on the hooks, I have made loops at each end of the string.

I made a vertical distance of 12 cm between each hook – because I know that my printed mood boards are 10×10 cm…

On my inspiration wall in my studio, there are approx. 20 cm between each hook. This gives greater flexibility if you need to hang things up in varying sizes.

Now, the wall is ready for mood boards 365 ♥

I promise to post pictures of my new inspiration wall regularly. I almost can’t wait to hang today’s moodboard up with a small clamp on the neon pink string.

Do you also have an inspiration wall at home? Otherwise, I recommend you to make one immediately – maybe just using maskingtape… It’s a very visual powerfull tool.

Lots of love and happiness, Susanne
