Something pink and green in the making

I am SO happy! Have started to sew in paper again, making notebooks and stamping with my homemade stamps.

And on top of it all, I have had the most BEAUTIFUL Creative Gathering with the most wonderful company this evening…

Pink and green surprises on the way to Sweden

Today’s moodboard is “something” to sweet @ihannas from Sweden that I’m back in January have promised to send a whole bunch of dots stickers in mutual colors – along with this surprise.

And recently iHanna wrote on her blog that her favorite color combination was pink and green, so therefore these colors… Which by the way are my favorite color combination too.

But you have photos from tonight’s Creative Gathering, of the beautiful table, my own stamp party and the amazing gifts from the wonderful creative guests.

Lucky me ♥

Lots of love and happiness, Susanne

MOODBOARD #147:
Gul er sommerens hotteste farve ¦ Yellow is the hottest color this summer

Moodboard on the go…

Elsker at have gule energier omkring mig.

Yellow is the hottest color this summer

Mood board on the go…

Tonight I have not been home, so I put a little quick dogma up for today’s mood board.

I found an old Isabellas magazine from May 2007, and said to myself: You have to be able to make a timely and telling mood board out of the pages of this magazine.

And already on page 18 an article jumped out to me: “Sunshine, you can always buy” – and then followed 6 wonderful pages with yellow happiness for the eyes.

“Yellow is brilliant”

Stood there also in this month’s BoligLiv, an other Danish interior magazine, – and common for the two articles are yellow associations to sun and summer.

The article from Isabella also had beautiful purple items along with the yellow. Yellow and purple is complementary, and in the right doses one color highlights the other…

I love yellow

Love to have yellow energies around me. The carpet in my studio is yellow – and also my new sewing table – which unfortunately has only been used for storage since it has been established…

Chakra wise, the yellow color is the color of action, so more of it, please! ♥

Do you have yellow elements or energies in your life?

Lots of love and happiness, Susanne

MOODBOARD #143:
Fra moodboard til fine kreationer ¦ From mood board to beautiful creations

“Color me pretty: Krafty October” blogindlæg fra 31. oktober 2012

  • smukke notesbøger i matchende omslag

From mood board to beautiful creations

I want to show you the idea of how to use a mood board – and then make a lot of different creations from that single mood board…

And it is my hope that I can make such a beautiful mood board one day and show you my creations – but today you are presented with the most beautiful of the beautiful mood board – and all the wonderful creations made by Leslie Shrewing on Holly Becker’s blog decor8blog.

“Color me pretty: Krafty October” blog post from October 31, 2012

The blog post has been etched in my mind and in my iPhone’s photostream since it was released.

It is in my view such a beautiful example of how a mood board can inspire to creativity and perhaps home decorations.

Excerpts from the blog post:

“Holly and I decided to try something different this time. She sent me an image that she liked and I created the color story based off of that image.

We wanted to show how you can take something that inspires you and turn it into a craft project, a floral arrangement or maybe a little décor item for your home.

We thought with so many people pinning stuff on Pinterest, why not try to inspire YOU with how to actually translate something you’re pinning into a real project that you can work on at home…”

The mood board shows color palette and proposed elements

From the mood board in the colors of coral, light gray, dark gray, brown, black and white, Leslie created:

  • the most beautiful paper feather garlands
  • delicate small punched gift tags, among other things made of watercolor painted paper
  • homemade gift wrapping paper and beautiful parcels using stamps, paint, maskingtape and paper feathers
  • a beautiful bulletin board
  • decoration of a few shelves in a bookcase in the same color palette
  • a flower decoration

Please view the entire blog post and all the pictures in full size here – and get inspiration on how you can work creatively out from a picture that inspires you…

The photo collage in this blog entry is composed of cropped images from Holly Becker’s and Leslie Shrewing’s blog post – pictures which I also have posted on my Pinterest bulletin board “Moodboards for Creative Work“.

Lots of love and happiness, Susanne
