Daybed of recycled wood in the making
Weeeeeeeeee! Have enjoyed the most beautiful weather outside today. In Denmark we had a national holiday were most companies and shops have been closed.
Have been in the garden and messing around – and suddenly I had such a desire to build a day bed, and luckily my boyfriend approved the idea.
Two years ago we took the planks down from the sides of the shed, and since then, the planks have been waiting to get a new life.
Ta-dah: DIY sun bed of recycled wood
I think it took less than two hours from idea to finished sun bed – inclusive a drive to the local builders market to buy screws…
[Sun bed made of recycled wood. It measures approx. 220 x 90 cm – and must be equipped with backrest and big wheels underneath. Super cool sun bed, that I look forward to rest upon]
Now I just need to sew a nice mattress and install four large wheels on the bed so I can roll it around in the sun :)
And best of all: There are still several wooden planks for making more furniture… Looking forward to get new ideas that give the old tree a new life.
I also hope you had a wonderful day and will have an amazing and sunny weekend!
Lots of love and happiness, Susanne
